[Photo/Xinhua]When Xing Lei graduated from university he decided to use his skills to help a remote village with traffic problems.Born in the 1980s, Xing came to a crossroads in his career choice when he graduated from Jinggangshan University in Jiangxi in September 2009.Instead of taking the civil servant examination or hunting for other jobs like his counterparts, he made up his mind to become a village officer of Sanwan village, located in Yongxin county, East Chinas Jiangxi province.Upon taking office, Xing began making efforts to solve the problems and difficulties for villagers by instructing them on scientific methods and technology in agricultural production, helping to improve living conditions. Thanks to Xings work, Sanwan village has been rated as “Chinas Happy Village”.Three years of hard work and commitment has brought Xing extensive acclaim from the villagers. He is determined to continue his work as their officer. With a low-profile personality, Xing said, “The first task of being a village official is to be a loyal servant of your people. You should help them with what you have learned so that they will trust you. “Previous Page1 2 3 Next PagePrevious Page1 2 3 Next Page8.03KRelated StoriesCPC delegate: Drug-fighting customs officer in GuangzhouAward-winning auditor becomes CPC delegateStreet sweeper becomes CPC delegateCPC delegates urged to faithfully perform dutiesCPC delegation visit Belgian cityCPC delegate devotes decades to science educationPhotoModeling contest part of China-US exchangeSpecially fertilized teaSimulator to support A320neo commissionedChinas cultural sector sees steady growth in 2011 Travel chaos after snowstorm hits NE ChinaInflation expected to rebound in NovemberGrain output grows for 9th consecutive yearWhite House-like buildings in E China city More China NewsOfficial probed after Web photos emerge3 detained for intruding at military compoundGuangdong to roll out anti-graft pilot projectPolice catch alleged jewel thiefWeb users peer into top courtAll Chinese nationals detained in Sri Lanka releasedMore World NewsJapans general election campaign kicks offPutin: Russia not advocate of Syrian govtObama warns of Syria over chemical weaponsUKs Prince William and Kate expecting a babyWH dismisses GOPs fiscal cliff proposalDPRK urged to halt launch planMost ViewedTodays Top NewsChinese Nobel laureate to receive award in SwedenBigger global role for RMB in 2013DPRK urged to halt rocket planHousing prices rise for sixth monthAdvocates call for euthanasia lawChina makes headway in lowering carbon intensityEmission target set to be met…Editors PicksModeling contest part of China-US exchangeSpecially fertilized tea Japans general election campaign kicks offReuters images of the year 2012 – Festival 2012 Year in Review: Moments at London GamesJames wins Sports Illustrated annual awardHot TopicsCPC National Congress,Mo Yan, Bogu Kailai, Diaoyu Islands, iPhone, Yao Ming, Sun Yang, Li Na, Liu Xiang, shenzhou, taiwan, hiv, school bus, house, hk, rare earth, food safetySpecial Coverage18th CPC National CongressDiaoyu Islands Disputes President Hu attends APEC SummitCPC EncyclopediaVideoSlidePodcastPicturesTHE WEEK Nov 30: Black FridayBeijing NGO promotes rapid HIV test in gay communitySlide: Mans best friendAnnual Santa Run in UK
